Reviewing the year that was: 2015 - The Year of Strength
Part 1 of 3
Before we move into the blog posts for the 2016 monthly energies, I wanted to write a little about the 2015 energies as I have been guided to share them; and with Mercury in retrograde at the moment what a perfect time to review the year that was!
When I look at the Strength card, the card that numerologically resonates with the year that has just passed, I certainly see the symbols, but I also ‘feel’ into the card to see what other messages it has for us. So I’m going to share with you what I intuit from this card and I’d love to hear from you if you feel that this message resonates with you; even if it doesn’t, I’d still love to read your comments.

The year that we’ve just left behind was one of many challenges. Challenges that reflected how able or unable we were to ‘go with the flow’, how adaptable or resistant we were, whether we gave into fear or trusted the knowledge and grace that arose from within us when faced with challenges, and it showed us just how ready or willing we were to grow spiritually, emotionally and physically; it also highlighted whether our belief or lack of belief in our self was a blessing or a hindrance that was accompanying us on our path.
For many, there may have been a sense of something that was waiting for us, something way off in the future, but there was also a sense of things that needed our attention in the present before we could even entertain the notion of moving towards that dream, vision, or ‘thing’ that was waiting for us on that distant horizon; others may even have realised that their dreams and goals may have changed in appearance given the recent experiences and personal growth that has taken place.
There were times when we were tested beyond belief. There were times when we knew that we would be able to gather the strength and courage that we needed to face the challenge and move past it, while at other times we simply got through it by the skin of our teeth and were somehow able to pick up the pieces as we moved painfully through that latest challenge or obstacle.
Then, there were other times, when we were clear headed and had a knowing within us that we do indeed have what it takes, that we do deserve to follow our dreams, and that this experience was exactly what we needed to get through this rough patch, to get us out of our comfort zone and into the clear where things would regain a sense of calm, but oftentimes not for very long at all.
Questions for reflection
What were my challenges for 2015?
When faced with a challenge, was I able to adapt or did I resist?
Did I catastrophise what was going on?
Did I believe in myself and that I’d be able to get through whatever I was facing?
Do I feel stronger for having experienced what 2015 brought to me?
How did I grow? (spiritually, emotionally, physically)
Do I want to face those same challenges again?
What can I do differently?

May you continue to discover and draw upon your strength and courage…
All my love,
