Reviewing the year that was: 2015 - The Year of Strength
Part 2 of 3
Continuing on from the 2015 energies…
If you haven’t read Part 1, please do so before you read the next section.
In 2015 we were called to become our own cheerleader for most of the journey and discovered that parts of our journey needed to be walked alone, with only our emotions, feelings, memories and faith to lead the way and carry us forward.
It was a year when we questioned our dreams, our ability to accomplish goals or intentions, and also whether we were (or felt) deserving of having such dreams. We were constantly in the cycle of believing in ourselves and moving forward with our plans, and shortly after we’d find ourselves dealing with a lack of self-confidence and confusion; wondering whether what we were chasing was actually what we wanted, or if we indeed did have what it takes to see through what we’d set into motion.

We came face-to-face with the voices of those in our lives, those from our past and even our own voice that may have caused us to question just what on Earth we were doing: what was it all for? Is this really what I want? Along with so many other questions, only to then have us stumble on the realisation that we’ve come way too far to turn back now; and so we must gather all that we’ve learned along the way to help get us to the next signpost that will undoubtedly be waiting for us any minute now.
It was a year of ups and downs, locally and globally, externally and internally, emotionally, mentally and physically. We questioned our dreams, our motives, our ideals, values and beliefs and we struggled through all of this, until the moment we realised that we just couldn’t continue on this way any longer - well, not without creating more situations that caused us even more grief, pain and confusion; and for the manifestors amongst us, perhaps you were even able to manifest illness and dis-ease in your life, just to prove that things were indeed as challenging as you believed them to be.
For those who heeded their intuition, for those who questioned the direction that their life was taking, for those who were able to tap into the possibility of ‘what if’; well, for those individuals, their lives shifted in a new direction.
They were able to see and feel how complicated they had been making their life, just how much struggle had been created, most likely, unknowingly or simply out of habit. It was as if they’d woken up and realised that life doesn’t need to be a struggle; there’s no need to create obstacles and challenges that make us miserable; no, these individuals realised that the power to change their life rests solely in their hands - and mind - they may have realised that the way in which they approach a situation determines their experience of the entire process. The more resistant and stubborn you are, the more difficult the situation because you create more drama for yourself; the more open, flexible and adaptable you are, the easier the experience and the more graceful you can be; not only through that experience, but in all areas of your life.
Questions for reflection
Where and how have I been resisting my life?
Where have I been accepting and flowing with my life?
Do I now take responsibility for my life?
Am I willing to make changes to ensure that I experience life with more freedom and ease?
Whose voice do I hear during moments of lack? Whether it’s lack of self-confidence, courage, direction, etc.
Do I have a dream or vision for my life or the future?
Am I willing to set goals and plan for the realisation of this dream or vision?
