Becoming Visible

adjective: able to be seen

Being in business and being of service means that at some point you have to step out from behind the shadows and into the light where your clients await. You have to step into the sacred space that you’ve created so that your work can be birthed into the world; so that all of that juiciness that Spirit is channelling to and through you each and every day reaches those who need it.

A few months back I started working on becoming visible, and whilst my intention was mostly focused on and around my business and getting it out into the world, I knew that there was a personal component to it too; little did I know how extensive my visibility blocks were and how deep their corresponding limiting beliefs were rooted.

Hmmm...that’s not entirely true...there was a part of me that knew - that knowing just hadn’t reached my awareness yet, otherwise why would I have procrastinated for so long, right? We always know without knowing, don’t we? How many times have you said to yourself, ‘I knew that was going to happen!’

I knew there were blocks around the business and being seen in that arena, that was clear and I understood that, but I wasn’t expecting so many personal blocks to show up as I did the inner work. I was surprised at just how many surfaced and equally as astounded at how many melted away simply by being acknowledged - I guess they too needed to be seen.

It had become clear to me that I’d reached the end of the line, I’d done all that I could in the shadows, and now all that was left to do was be seen - yes, it’s as simple and as complicated as that! Another thing - I don’t want to look back on my life in 5, 10, 20, 30 years from now and regret not taking this step that my Soul is urging me to take; a step that I know needs to be taken because I can sense the freedom that exists on the other side of this threshold that I find myself standing on.

In all of the inner work that I’ve done, I’ve realised that even though I’ve been putting so much of myself, my time and my energy into the business, the reality is that it (and I) won’t be able to grow as we need to and I cannot do the Work I feel called to do if people don’t know who I am, what I do, why I do it and how I came to do it, right? So...I’ll be sharing more about myself from this point on because I’ve reached the part of my journey where this is the only step forward.

I am ready to be seen. This won’t be easy as I’m an introvert and I am extremely private, but I will start sharing small, and we’ll see what happens.

I look forward to sharing more about myself and my journey, I’m not entirely sure what that looks like right now, but it will, as always, unfold exactly as it’s meant to. 😊

It’s my intention that by sharing more about myself, you’ll be inspired to become visible in your life too.

Inner Work

It is my intention that these Inner Work exercises get you thinking about and questioning the way you’re doing things at the moment. If things were going well for you, chances are you wouldn’t be reading this.

  • What do you know you need to work on, but keep putting it off?

  • Where do you find yourself procrastinating the most?

  • Pay attention to some of the stories/excuses you give about why you can’t/shouldn’t do whatever it is you know you need to do - do you believe these stories/excuses? Or does it sound as though they’re coming from somewhere outside of you (almost like an out-of-body-experience)?

  • Where is your energy, time and attention focused - on something you like? On something you love? On something you hate? On something that drains you? On something you wish you could grow and share with the world?

  • You might not feel ready to take a big step towards the change that you’re envisioning right now, but answer honestly here: are you at least willing to be ready to take a step (no matter how small) in that direction?

I do hope you invest some time to your personal growth and development, but in the end the decision is yours to make.
