The New Moon and two to three days before for going within, to honour the darkness - not in an evil sense - but the dark space/energy from which life is conceived; the feminine-creative energy.
Here is where we meet and (hopefully) sit with what is stirring within. It’s a time to slow down, not necessarily stop, a time to connect with and trust and honour your intuition.
Here is where we begin to feel into what our Soul requires from us for the lunar month ahead. And here is where all potential exists - this is where we begin to sense the dreams, visions and fears that have been awaiting the right time to surface.
The New Moon, for me is the time to sit and pay attention to the whispers of my Soul, to honour the needs of my body and Soul. It’s a time to recharge, to replenish my energy reserves and to begin to energetically prepare for the lunar month ahead.
It’s about two to three days after the New Moon, when the silver sliver of the Crescent Moon appears in the daytime sky, that it’s time to get clear on our goals for the coming month and begin to formulate a plan of action from what our Soul has been collecting and sharing during the Dark of Moon/New Moon time - allowing for ebbs and flows, shifts and changes.
♊ Gemini energies…
Gemini is ruled by Mercury and is the communicator of the zodiac. Gemini natives are thinkers and are quite quick to adapt to what comes their way with their amazing ability to ‘think on their feet’.
Gemini is curious, intellectual and always coming up with new ideas. They like to share their knowledge with others and can often be found having intriguing discussions, but are also known for their ability to shift from topic to topic as their attention flows from one inspired idea to another - often leaving their audience confused by the speedy change of direction as well as the amount of questions that have been raised by their dialogue.
Gemini might not be the best conversationalist, but they do like to cover a range of topics and they do have a knack for gathering a lot of trivial facts and anecdotes. It’s not that they’re flighty - although they might come across that way - but they’re so quick and mentally agile, that it leaves those in their company feeling slightly inadequate, not to mention baffled.
🌑 New Moon in ♊ Gemini energies…
The New Moon in Gemini energies help us to tune into the ideas and inspiration that have been making their way to the surface over the last few lunar cycles. This is the time to harness the mind and get to making plans that will help us to set these ideas into motion so that we can begin to achieve our dreams, or in the very least, begin to head in the direction of our dreams, goals and desires...whatever they may be.
There’s an element of lightness with this New Moon as its underlying energies are all about fun, creativity and pleasure, so do make sure you tap into those energies, especially after the heaviness of the last few weeks (or should I say months??).
Remember that the Sun is also in Gemini (21 May - 21 June) asking us to look at how we can be of Service and look at how we can integrate that into our daily lives as well as in our work. There’s immense potential to get really clear and build momentum as we align ourselves more and more with the call of our Soul’s Purpose.
Mercury is also in Gemini (until 4 June) so you can expect the ideas and inspiration to come in thick and fast, as well as bringing the feeling that time is passing quickly. Remember that time, according to our Soul, is not linear, so the more ‘out of time’ or ‘in the zone’ you feel, the more Soul-aligned you are. Enjoy this, it’s a magical experience and one that helps to connect and align our human-physical experience to our Soul’s Purpose.
These are the underlying energies for this lunar month so bear these in mind as you set your intentions for this lunar month within the next day or two.
